Zaur Gahramanov graduated from the Azerbaijan State University of Economics with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in International Economic Relations. He continued his academic career by obtaining his MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business (USA).
Mr Gahramanov started his professional career at KPMG in the finance and tax departments and continued at Ernst & Young. After working in performance management and finance at Statoil in Norway between 2004 and 2008, he joined SOCAR in 2008. Until 2013, he worked as CFO at SOCAR Trading SA Switzerland. Mr Gahramanov was appointed as the Vice President of SOCAR Azerbaijan Investments Division and has been the CEO of SOCAR Turkey Enerji A.Ş. since 2016.
Gahramanov is also a Board Member at TANAP, SOCAR Energy Switzerland and Neftçi Professional Football Club and Vice President of the International Investors Association (YASED).
