Vural Kural graduated from the University of Michigan and pursued Ph.D. programs specializing in Monetary and International Economics.
He has held several prominent positions throughout his career, including Assistant Director at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank, Deputy Director General at the Undersecretariat of Treasury and Foreign Trade, and Head of Department at the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey. Additionally, he served on the Board of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources. His academic experience includes lecturing and serving as a research assistant at both Bilkent University and the University of Michigan.
He also served as Secretary General of the Turkish Flour Industrialists’ Federation (TUSAF). Currently, he is the Executive Secretary and Treasurer for the International Association of Operative Millers (IAOM) Eurasia. In this role, he is responsible for expanding regional market strategies, managing services, coordinating working groups, and overseeing events and projects across Eurasia. He works closely with grain producers, traders, millers, ingredients firms, and logistics companies, as well as research institutions and NGOs in both the public and private sectors.
