Turan Gafarli, a Non-Resident Fellow at the Topchubashov Center, specialises in post-Soviet Turkic geography and serves as the editor of the book “The Karabakh Gambit: Responsibility for the Future.” Formerly an Advisor to the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States, he holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and Politics from Queen Mary University of London and a Master of Arts in Transnational Studies from University College London.
Gafarli’s professional experience includes research roles in the House of Lords, as well as internships at the Council of Europe and the United Nations Office in Geneva. Additionally, he is a member of Chatham House – Royal Institute of International Affairs.
