Dr. Tolga Sakman is the Founding Chairman of the Center for Diplomatic Affairs and Political Studies (DİPAM), a think tank based in Istanbul. He serves on the advisory boards of several universities and is also a lecturer. Dr. Sakman holds a master’s degree from the National Defense University and a PhD from Istanbul University. His research focuses on defense and security policies, particularly European security architecture, defense management in presidential systems, debates on the new international system, and the dynamics of rising powers. Recently, he has provided commentary on the Russia-Ukraine war and the conflicts in the Middle East, both domestically and internationally.
