Tarek Cherkaoui is a Manager at the TRT World Research Centre and author of The News Media at War: The Clash of Western and Arab Networks in the Middle East. He is an expert in strategic communications analysis. He holds a PhD in media and communication studies from Auckland University of Technology. His research interests include the international broadcasting media, public diplomacy, information control, and media-military relations—specifically within a Middle Eastern context.
