Selver B. Şahin Professor, Boğaziçi University

Selver Buldanlıoğlu Şahin is a development researcher with more than fifteen years of experience gained in Türkiye, Australia and New Zealand. Her research has been published in Third World Quarterly, Democratization, Development Policy Review, International Peacekeeping, Contemporary Politics, Asian Studies Review, Journal of Contemporary Asia, and Australian Journal of International Affairs. Currently, she is leading or co-leading three research projects: “NATO@75: Bridging Perspectives and Strengthening Bonds through Gender Sensitive Human Security Strategies” funded by NATO’s Public Diplomacy Division; “Dynamics of Overseas Scholarship Programmes of G20 States in the Context of their Foreign Policy Priorities” funded under TÜBITAK’s 1001-Scientific and Technological Research Programme; and “Emancipating Women and Girls from Vulnerabilities Through A Social Reconstruction-Oriented Approach to Disaster Management”, recipient of Şirin Tekeli Research Incentive awarded by Sabancı University’s Gender and Women’s Studies Center of Excellence (SU Gender).
