Periša Kastratović has served as the Ambassador of Montenegro to Turkey since September 2019. Additionally, he holds the position of non-resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Montenegro in Azerbaijan and Iran. Throughout his career, he has held significant roles in Montenegro’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Prime Minister’s Office, and Parliament. Noteworthy positions include Advisor for international relations to the President of Parliament (2016-2019) and Associate to the Prime Minister’s Advisor for international relations (2013-2014). His diplomatic journey began as a consular officer at the Montenegro Embassy in Italy (2009-2010), followed by various roles at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a diplomatic post in the United Arab Emirates (2015-2016). He actively contributed to Montenegro’s Euro Atlantic Integration and represented the country at international forums such as the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) Assembly and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). Periša Kastratović holds degrees in political science and international relations and has honed his diplomatic skills through specialized studies and international programs in Germany and Montenegro. He is fluent in English and Italian.
