Oby Ezekwesili PhD; President, Human Capital África; Senior Economic Adviser, África Economic Development Policy Initiative

Dr. Obiageli “Oby” Katryn Ezekwesili is an Economic Policy Expert, Senior Economic Adviser for the Africa Economic Development Policy Initiative, and Founder-CEO of Human Capital Africa. A co-founder of Transparency International, she served as Vice President of the World Bank’s Africa Region and held various government roles in Nigeria, including Minister of Minerals and Education. She also founded the #FixPolitics Initiative and chairs the School of Politics, Policy, and Governance in Nigeria. A Chartered Accountant with two MA degrees from Harvard, Dr. Ezekwesili has been recognized by Time magazine as one of the 100 Most Influential People and has received numerous awards, including Nigeria’s national honor of Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (CFR). She serves on global boards, including Facebook’s Community Leadership Program, and was named a potential candidate for the 2018 Nobel Peace Prize.
