Dr. Najiba Mustafayeva is an Assistant Professor at the Ibn Haldun University (Türkiye) and Adjunct Professor at the ADA University (Azerbaijan). She holds a master’s degree in International and European Law from the University of Amsterdam (Netherlands), specializing in International Trade and Investment Law, and a Ph.D. in Law from Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO University). She started her career at the office of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, worked at the Center for Strategic Studies, International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), SME Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan as a head of International Cooperation Department and Institute of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan as a Deputy Director. She is the author of 2 books and more than 30 articles and op-eds, published in Azerbaijan, Türkiye, the United States, Russia, Moldova, and Poland. She was guest and visiting lecturer at Humboldt University (Germany), Charles University (Czech Republic), Istanbul Commerce University (Türkiye), Bahçeşehir University (Türkiye), Moscow State University of International Relations (MGIMO), KIMEP University (Kazakhstan), University of World Economy and Diplomacy (Uzbekistan), Webster University in Tashkent (Uzbekistan), and Széchenyi István University in Hungary.
