Yeşiltaş is a Professor at the Social Sciences University of Ankara, concurrently serving as the Director of Foreign and Security Studies at the SETA Foundation. Dr. Yeşiltaş’ primary research focus encompasses a broad spectrum of topics within the realm of international affairs, including international security, terrorism, military studies, ethnic and religious radicalization, non-state conflicts, and Kurdish politics.
Among his literary contributions are Non-State Military Actors in the Middle East: Geopolitics, Ideology and Strategy (Palgrave McMillan, 2017), and The UN Reform: Regional Approaches and Türkiye’s Perspective (SETA, 2023).
