Dr. Muhammad Al-Zawawy is a lecturer at the Middle East Institute at Sakarya University. He has authored and co-authored several books, research papers, and conference presentations on topics including geopolitics, national security, Islamism in the Middle East, and the Horn of Africa. Dr. Al-Zawawy holds a Ph.D. from Sakarya University, with a thesis titled “Geopolitical Transformation in the Middle East and Its Impact on Regional Coalition Building,” and a Master’s degree from the Faculty of Economics and Political Science at Cairo University. He has served as Head of the International Relations Unit at the Arba Center for Humanitarian Studies in Cairo and has contributed as a writer for various think tanks and research centers across the Middle East.
