Kubanıçbek Ömüraliyev
Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States
H.E. Mr. Kubanychbek Omuraliev is the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS). Born on September 15, 1960, in Bokonbaevo, Kyrgyzstan, he has served in various high-level diplomatic positions throughout his distinguished career. Prior to his current role, Mr. Omuraliev was the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Türkiye (2019–2022) and Israel (2021–2022), as well as the Ambassador to Belarus and the Baltic states (2015–2019).
Mr. Omuraliev also held the position of Permanent Representative to the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and has extensive experience in foreign relations, economic policy, and governance. Earlier in his career, he served as Consul General to the UAE and worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan in multiple capacities. He has also been involved in anti-corruption initiatives and good governance projects.
An accomplished scholar, Mr. Omuraliev has interned at prestigious institutions worldwide and is the author of publications on governance and anti-corruption. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and postgraduate qualifications in Economics.
Mr. Omuraliev has received numerous honors, including TURKSOY’s Medal of Honor and recognition as an honorary citizen of multiple cities.
