Kahraman Haliscelik graduated from the University of Ankara School of Communications in 1997. Soon after graduating, he moved to New York City, where he worked as a New York correspondent for mainstream Turkish media companies. Throughout the years, Haliscelik covered US presidential elections, September 11 terrorist attacks from Ground Zero, as well as the events at the UN headquarters such as the wars in Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria; Turkiye’s fight against FETÖ, and other news events in various US states. From 2009 to 2017, he worked as a TRT New York correspondent.
Haliscelik was appointed as the Press Advisor to Turkiye’s Foreign Minister, H.E. Mevlut Cavusoglu, in 2017. Mr Haliscelik currently works as Press Secretary at the Organization of Turkic States.
