Imam Dr. Omar Suleiman is a globally recognized scholar and an activist committed to human rights. He is the Founder and President of the Yaqeen Institute for Islamic Research and serves as an adjunct professor of Islamic Studies in the Graduate Liberal Studies program at Southern Methodist University, where he is also a member of the Ethics Center Advisory Board.
In his local Dallas community, Dr. Suleiman is the resident scholar at the Valley Ranch Islamic Center and the former Co-Chair Emeritus of Faith Forward Dallas at Thanks-Giving Square. Nationally, he founded MUHSEN (Muslims Understanding and Helping Special Education Needs), a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering inclusivity for people with disabilities in the Muslim community. He is also working on launching a new initiative, Dignity in Displacement, focused on advocating for refugees and survivors of genocide.
