Bruno Maçães is a senior advisor at a top consultancy firm, Flint Global. He is also a senior fellow at the Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies, a part of the European People’s Party in Brussels. He is the former Secretary of State for European Affairs in Portugal. Maçães is the author of Belt and Road; History Has Begun; and The Dawn of Eurasia. He advises some of the world’s leading companies on geopolitics and technology. His most recent book, Geopolitics for the End Time, was described by The Economist as one of the most ambitious attempts yet to make sense of the Covid pandemic.
