H.E. Achmad Rizal Purnama serves as the Ambassador of Indonesia to Türkiye. Before his appointment, he was Chief of Staff at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 2020 and Director for Middle East Affairs from 2019-2020. He held diplomatic roles in Washington, D.C., and the United Nations in New York, focusing on political and environmental issues. Purnama began his career at Indonesia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2002. He holds a degree in International Law from Al-Azhar University and a Master’s in Middle East Studies from Universitas Indonesia.
