Abdulaziz al-Horr is currently the Director of the Diplomatic Institute at the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Prior to this, Dr al-Horr served as the CEO of Qatar Finance and the Director of the Al Jazeera Media Training Centre and the Corporate Development Bureau in Doha (2007-2012). He has extensive experience in the education sector where he served as the Director of the Arab Educational Training Centre for the GCC (2003-2007) and as Assistant Under-Secretary of Planning and Curriculum Development at the Qatari Ministry of Education (1999-2002). He has published over 20 books and is the founder of Qatar Foundation’s ‘First Step’ programme as well as the ‘Tomorrow’s Leaders Academy’ programme.
