Neslihan Yakut is a Speaker Coordinator at the TRT World Forum. Prior to joining TRT, she worked at the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia as an Economics and Political Analyst, and was involved in the initiation of several key initiatives between both countries. She completed her MA in the Master of Arts Program in Asian Studies with a Thesis at Boğaziçi University, focusing on regional courses in the Asia Pacific. Her thesis, titled “The Impact of the Japanese Occupation on Contemporary Ethnic Politics in Malaysia,” demonstrates a deep understanding of the complex dynamics in Malaysian Politics. During her MA, she was awarded the III. Chinese Consulate General Scholarship and received monthly training on China’s economic, historical, and political development at Shanghai University Confucius Institute in China. She earned her bachelor’s degree at the International Islamic University Malaysia in Malaysia, with a focus on Political Science and International Relations, specializing on ASEAN Foreign Politics. She interned at various think tanks and is keen on contributing to Turkey’s image in Asia and vice versa through voluntary interviews and publications.
